I’m Charlie Gardner founder and director. I have always been passionate about good food, and having a taste for high quality produce.

After obtaining my degree in engineering , I wanted to share my passion and taste with others. So in 2012 I got hands on and decided to put my all into building the cold pressed oil company to what it is today, producing top quality products.

I started off cold pressing and producing pure rapeseed oil. I didn’t want to just stop there, I wanted to have more to offer. So, we created an infusion of 5 various flavoured oils to join our recently rebranded ‘Just Drizzle’ family.

Popularity of our products continued to grow and we looked to expand our selection further, Creating and bringing on board our ‘Just Dollop’ mayonnaise to the Just D range.

We work tirelessly to ensure every step, from field to production is meticulously done with care and every bottle or jar is individually made with love by the team, to the highest standard and reaches you in nothing less than top quality condition.

DRIZZLE

Our just drizzle range encompasses our pure oil and our infused oils. Our pure rapeseed oil lends itself perfectly to all areas of cooking. It has a high smoke point which makes it ideal for high temperature cooking such as frying and roasting. It also tastes great as a dipping oil with a splash of balsamic or as a dressing for salad.

We have two delicious mayonnaises in the Just Dollop range. Our Tarragon mustard mayo is a combination of a delicious tarragon mustard base, mixed into a creamy mayonnaise. The resulting flavour is a beautiful tangy mayonnaise with a bite of tarragon.

Our Just dress range consists of three mouthwatering dressings. Our Garlic and herb is a divine combination of Garlic, Parsley and Chives. These flavours create a fantastic salad dressing to be used over green salads and served at BBQs this summer.

As summer goes on the seeds ripen turning from red to black when ripe...

THE PROCESS

Harvesting the seeds usually takes place between the middle to end of July and the beginning of August. The crop is cut low to the ground and is pulled into the combine harvester where it passes over a thresher which knocks the seeds from the pods. The seeds are then collected in the hopper. The rest of the plant passes through a shredder and is spread back out onto the field.

The seed is unloaded into a tractor and trailer and transported from the fields, back to the farm. They are tipped into a pit and moved over sieves which remove any unwanted vegetation and debris. The clean seed is then passed through our press, where the oil is extracted. The crude oil is then put through a high end filtering system to ensure no debris remain, leaving the cleanest, purest rapeseed oil. This is bottled, ready for you to enjoy.

The seed husk is used as cattle feed on a local dairy farm. The best thing about the cold pressing process is that its virtually waste free.
